Volunteering with CCMA

We are grateful to the volunteers who help newcomers settle into Charlotte County. Their dedication and generosity make a meaningful difference in helping individuals and families feel welcomed and connected to their new community.

Our volunteers contribute in many ways, from assisting at community events to making longer-term commitments by working directly with newcomers. They also provide valuable support in the office whenever needed.

There are three tiers of volunteer involvement when working with newcomers, allowing volunteers to choose a level of commitment that best matches their interests, availability, and experience.

Depending on the level of volunteer involvement you choose, you may be asked to complete a criminal record check, a vulnerable sector check, submit a résumé, and participate in an interview. These requirements help us determine the best volunteer placement based on your skills, experience, interests, and the needs of the newcomers we serve, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
